random stoooory...
oh goodness i'm falling asleep writing this lol but i wanted to write a couple lines before bed so here goes...
Encompassed by the calm, confident blue of the walls, Maya lay in the middle of Don's bed wondering how in the world she ever made it this far. To be standing, okay scratch that, lying, here after the chaos she went through not even four months ago was astounding. Things could of ended that night, for everyone. But instead here she was, here they all were, alive and enjoying what was almost ripped from them not too long ago. But it was all her own fault in the first place, she admitted to herself. If she hadn't lured him to their little get-together, they wouldn't have been exposed like that. But he's gone. Just like a pencil erased, he had been wiped from their lives, at least superficially. Maya still had occassional nightmares, though not nearly as often before Don and his family invited her to stay with them over the summer. Now she felt relaxed...and safe for once. No longer did she look over her shoulder if she heard anything or flinch when some stranger said his name. Not anymore anyway.
That was...until yesterday,
Yesterday's events caused her fear to spiral out of control once more and her pulse to ricochette off of her chest.
Because he was back.
He had stood there in the doorway smirking at her when she fell into shock at his arrival. One minute he was at the front door, the next he was looking her dead in the eye as he grinned at her from across the street, feigning his departure. Because he would be back. There was no doubt in her mind about that.
enough for now lol
